This “Free Iran” Design was created for Camden Printworks apparel line The Dotted Line. It was created and offered as a show of support to the protestors exercising their HUMAN RIGHTS. Some of them at great costs. The first 50 shirts are being given away to show support for the people of Iran.

Both Anthony and Adam were a pleasure to work with. Anthony perfectly captured the urban and playful spirit of Come Out & Play with his illustration for our 2009 festival! We are very excited and proud to display it in affiliation with the festival on MTV’s HD screen in Times Square. This is our 4th annual festival – I think it may be the best yet in terms of games, city-integration, and t-shirts!

Located on Broadway between 44th and 45th Streets, MTV 44 1/2 is proud to be a 2009 media supporter of the Come Out and Play Festival.

MTV is donating 2 hours of media time during the festival  on the enormous HD screen in Times Square at 44 1/2 Broadway. They’re also going to put a promo deck of ours into rotation as they have blank spots available in the week before the festival.

This piece was commissioned by the youth ministry and organization Urban Promise Interantional. The Mission of UrbanPromise International is to prepare emerging leaders to initiate, develop, and sustain Christian-based youth development organizations and to seed their new ministries as they serve vulnerable children and teens in our world’s most under-resourced communities. You can read more about them here. They have locations in Malawi, Honduras, US and Canada.

The design had to identify the schools of children around the world. It had to identify the continents and physical locations of those schools yet make them feel connected and easily traversed by it’s students. I choose to depict the children as fish, schools of them creating the shapes of the continents. I felt the school symbol was obvious enough but also could easily traverse the dividing waters from location to location. The project was printed beautifully at imprint apparel shop Camden Printworks, in Camden NJ.
